53 more diarrhoea cases in Shimla

Shimla: Even as the government today claimed that the situation in the capital city after diarrhoea outbreak was under control, fifty-three fresh cases reported in different hospital, taking the total count to 170 in the last three days. Surveillance officer Vinod Mehta said 37 people reported at the Sanjauli dispensary, seven at IGMC and 9 at Rippon Hospital. While the results of water samples sent for testing are still awaited, Mehta said that most probably water contamination caused the outbreak.
