Shimla: Monsoon rains resumed at many places in Himachal Pradesh in the past 12 hours, while traffic remained suspended between Manali and Keylong following landslides at many place.
According to Lahaul & Spiti district information officer Shair Singh, Rohtang Pass is still blocked for vehicular traffic, addiing that the Leh-Keylong road is open for traffic.
The south-west monsoon brought light to moderate rain in the state as Sundernagar in Mandi district recorded highest 42.5 mm rainfall followed by Karsog, Sandhol 18 mm, Gohar 13 mm, Baldwara 11 mm, Dharampur 8 mm, and Pandoh 7mm. In Kangra district Dharamshala received 38.4 mm, Dehra Gopipur 22 mm, and Guler 21 mm. In Hamirpur Bhoranj received 30mm, Kheri 10 mm, Sujanpur Tira 9 mm, Hamirpur town 6 mm and Nadaun 3 mm. In Shimla district, Theog and Jubberhatti got 4 mm each, In Una district Amb 17 mm and Una town 2.4 mm.
The Met office said that rain or thundershower are likely to occur at isolated places in middle and high reaches in the next 24 hours.
