Himachal’s traditional cuisines on TV

Shimla: A private television channel, ‘Kairalli’ of Malyalam Communications Limited, in co-operation with Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), is going to make a sequence of serials about the traditional cuisines and culture of Himachal Pradesh.

A plan has been formulated in this regard, said Subhashish Panda, Managing Director, HPTDC here today.

He said that the team from the channel would visit Shimla, Narkanda, Rampur, Sarahan, Kalpa and tribal district of Lahaul and Spiti.
The documentary would be telecast on the Kairalli channel’s program’Flavour of India’, showcasing traditional cuisines, dresses and lifestyle of hill people.

Mr. Panda said that the serial would go a long way in making tourists acquaint with the culture, cuisines and traditions of the people of Himachal Pradesh, which would further help boost tourism in the State.
