Met office forecasts widespread rain in Himachal

Shimla: The Indian meteorological office here has forecast widespread rain during the next two days in the state. Meanwhile, heavy downpours lashed many parts of the state this morning.

According to state meteorological officer Manmohan Singh, widespread rainfall is likely to occur in the state in the coming two days. He said that the state received rainfall in almost all places this morning. The capital town has been experiencing heavy rainfall since early morning leading to water drains being chocked at several places.

There are report of rainfall from tourist resorts Dharamsala, Manali, Dalhousie and Kasauli. However, Monsoon is still to be become active in the state as it is advancing with slow speed.
