Shimla: Himachal Pradesh government has appointed Dr Shyam Kumar Sharma as the new vice-chancellor of CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur, for a period of three years, or attaining 65 years of age, whichever happens earlier. Dr Sharma is currently director, National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, Pussa Campus, New Delhi. The appointment will be effective from July 5 or from the date he assumes office. He would replace Tej Pratap Singh.
