Shimla: Northern Railway has introduced another broad gauge train to Himachal Pradesh, that will run between Una and Haridwar, senior railway officer told HimVani here today.
Shimla railway station superintendent GS Rajput said that the Una-Haridwar rail would run tri-weekly. He said that train number 2064 would leave Una at 5 am and arrive at Haridwar at 1.55 pm every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Haridwar-Una train number 2064 would depart from Haridwar at 2.35 pm and arrive at Una at 10.10 pm every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. He said that both trains would be attached with train no 2053/2054 at Ambala and the new service would start from from July 30, 2010.
In 2008 Northern Railway had extended the first broad gauge Janshatabdi train service to Una. The state has seven narrow gauge trains each running on the world heritage route between Kalka and Shimla and Pathankot to Jogindernagar route, respectively.
