Heat wave continues in Himachal

Shimla: Due to dry weather and bright sunshine, heat wave continued to put people at unease in Himachal, keeping Mercury four to five degree above normal. Meanwhile, the monsoon rains are expected to touch the state at the end of this month, the metrological officer told HimVani.

Director of state met office Manmohan Singh said that the hot conditions are expected to last at least for one more week. He added that the weather would be mainly dry in the next 24 hrs as there is no scope of rain in the state. Una was hottest in the state today with maximum at 40.8 degree Celsius, while Shimla recorded 28.5 degree Celcius. The maximum at Sundernagar in Mandi district was 37.5 degrees, Bhuntar of Kullu and Dharamsala of Kangra 36 degrees each and Solan 34 degrees.
