Shimla: Keeping out Varun Gandhi from its youth leadership, BJP today decided to appoint Anurag Thakur, who is current Hamirpur MP and HPCA president, as the new Youth Morcha president.
BJP MLA Baldev Sharma told Himvani that the state unit has welcomed the party decisions to appoint Thakur as BJYM chief. Former health and forest minister Jagat Prakesh Nadda, who had also been BJYM president in the past, was also recently appointed as national general secretary.

Party workers and activists gathered in large numbers at Hamirpur this evening to celebrate Thakur’s appointment. With Thakur being announced as the national president of BJP’s youth wing, Himachal marks a significant presence in the party at the national level as Shanta Kumar is already a national vice-president and Nadda a national general secretary.
