Shimla: Electricity would cost a little bit more in Himachal Pradesh – both for domestic and commercial consumers. However, families living below the poverty line (BPL) and small and medium industry have been exempted from the hike.
“The Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission on Thursday announced 30 paise per unit increase in the cost of power tariff for domestic consumers in the state,” an official statement said here. The tariff for rest of the industry has been hiked by 55 paise per unit.
