Mountaineering instructor dies during demonstration

Shimla: A mountaineering instructor died while he was giving demonstration to trainees at Van Vihar in Potter Hill near Summerhill here last evening. “Instructor Naveen Joshi (30) was imparting training to tourists here last evening when he skipped down from a climbing rope, falling 200 ft down from a steep hill,” an official said. Police source said that the trainer was not carrying proper kit. The deceased hailed from Chosar village of Almora district in Uttarakhand, and was posted here as a instructor in the Eco-Tourism institute.

    Proper precautions must be taken by one and all while persuing such activities. A person has died but its the family which suffers later on.
