Three die, 4 injured, in separate road mishaps

Shimla: Three persons were killed and four others sustained injuries in two road accidents that occurred in the state today, police source said. Two persons of the same family were killed, and four others were injured, including a child, in a road accident when a WagonR rolled down from a hillock near Bathu bridge on Matour-Shimla National Highway, 32 kms from Dharamsala this morning.

The car was carrying an ill person to PGI Chandigarh, who also died in the accident.
Rashipal Singh, 45, died on the spot, while his father Rai Singh, 78 (patient) succumbed to his injuries in Dr RP Govt. Medical College hospital at Tanda. The site of the accident had no parapets and according to the police the location had become accident prone. Despite number of accidents at the spot, NH authorities did not raise any parapets there.

In the second accident that occurred in Kullu valley, one Nime Ram (25) of village Bakhali near Mohal was killed in a road accident at Badheri Kenchi on the Kullu-Dohra Nallah road while a Maruti van rolled down to a deep gorge.
