‘Reservation Express’ to enter Himachal on June 2

Dharamsala: The town is gearing up to welcome ‘Reservation Express’, a march by women organizations to support the Women Reservation Bill, as it reaches here on June 2. A bus-full of women representatives from various organisations will reach here and will be welcomed by members of Jagori, Nistha (NGOs) and other self-help groups.

The road show will start from the War Memorial at Dharamsala and proceed towards Zila Parishad hall, where students and village girls will present a cultural performance. After this, eminent speakers from various fields will speak on this occasion and the members of Reservation Express will then share their experiences and also pitch in for supporting “33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament.”

After the function, the ‘Express’ will leave for other parts of Himachal like Mandi, Hamirpur and Shimla.
