Shimla simmers at 30.1 degree C

Shimla: Heat wave has been sweeping across north India unabated as maximum temperatures were recorded six to seven degree above normal today. According to Met office director Manmohan Singh, Shimla simmered at 30.1 degree Celsius and Una sizzled at 43 degrees, highest in the state, today. Maximum of Mandi and Sundernagar was 40 degrees each, Bhuntar 37 degrees, Nahan and Dharamsala at 36 degrees, Solan 35 degrees and Kalpa was lowest in the state with maximum at 23.7 degrees. The met office said that weather would mainly be dry in the state during next 24 hours.
