His Holiness will hold a three-day teaching session on Shantideva’s ‘A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life (chodjug)’ & Kamalashila’s ‘The Middling States of Meditation (gomrim barpa)’ from May 20 to 22 in New York. On May 16, His Holiness would take part in a dialogue on ‘Investigating Healthy Minds’ with neuroscientist Prof. Richard Davidson of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. His Holiness will give public talk on ‘The Power of Education’ in Cedar Falls on May 18, organized by University of Northern Iowa. His Holiness would also participate in an interfaith dialogue at the Church of St. John the Divine, on May 23 in New York before returning to Dharamsala.

This is second tour of the Tibetan leader in exile this year as he also has met with US president Obarck Obama despite much opposition from the Chinese regime. The controversy was pacified after US responded to China that the Tibetan leader had visited in the capacity of a spiritual and culture master of the ‘oldest civilization’. During this visit, there seems to be no adverse reaction from the Chinese Communist regime so far.
