Shimla: The Haj Committee of India has extended the last date for acceptance of provisional Haj applications by the State Haj Committee up to May 15, 2010, for the Haj journey this year.
All interested pilgrims for Haj 1431 (H)-2010(AD) from Himachal Pradesh, who could not register themselves within the earlier prescribed date of April 30, 2010, may get themselves registered before May 15, 2010.
A press released issued here today by an official the State Haj Committee said that people who could not apply for pilgrimage can give their applications to the Himachal Haj Committee at Shimla (Room No. 104, Yojna Bhawan, HP Secretariat) by submitting their particulars including passport numbers, which is mandatory.
He said that if applicants have applied for the passport, they can attach the copy of the receipt issued by the Regional Passport Office, on the prescribed form and by depositing Rs 200 (non-refundable) per person in the Haj Committee of India’s Bank Account No 30683623887 in any State Bank of India Branch.
