Shimla: Light to moderate thundershowers lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh during past 24 hours as the sky was partly cloudy in the state. State meteorological officer Manmohan Singh said that Western Disturbances (WBs) were responsible for rain showers, giving slight respite from heat.
In Shimla district Kotkhai received highest 20 mm rainfall, Bhuntar in Kullu 11.3 mm, Sundernagar in Mandi 5 mm, Jubbal in Shimla 4 mm and Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti one millimeter, respectively. Minimum temperature in Shimla was 14.6 degree Celsius,
Sundernagar and Solan 16 degrees each, Bhuntar 12.8 degrees, Kalpa and Keylong 5.5 degrees each, Dharamsala 17.7 degrees, Una 18.3, Mandi 19.1 degrees and Nahan 23.1 degrees, respectively. The Met office forecast mainly dry weather conditions in next 24 hours in Himachal Pradesh.
