Dharamsala: Kings-XI Punjab fast bowler Brett Lee was forced to fly back home with a fractured thumb from here, team’s captain said today (Thursday) on the eve of their match against Deccan Chargers.

Skipper of Kings XI Kumar Sangakkara told reporters that it was unfortunate that Brett Lee had to leave for Australia as his thumb got fractured during the training session on Wednesday. He disclosed that Adrian Barath too had some stomach problem, “but still we have good bench strength and would take a call on the final eleven after looking at the strength and weaknesses of the opposition”.
“We would miss Brett… hope he gets well soon and becomes fit ahead of the World Cup,” he added.
