BSNL about to launch 4G service also targeting 5G by 2019-20

    Public Sector Telecom Service Provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced that it is about to launch 4G Services after setting up 130 hot spots in the State to counter stiff competitions by Jio and Airtel besides targeting to offer 5G service in the hill State by the year 2019-20. Stating this today Chief General Manager of Central Telcom Circle Mr. Ravi Kant said that BSNL remained unaffected from the stiff competition, unlike other service providers.

     

    He said that BSNL is coming soon with four generation and five generation mobile service in the state to give tough competition to private sector service providers like Jio and other networks. ”BSNL has registered growth of about 151 percent in its services in the state despite other private service providers were facing throttling competition in free data services offered by the Jio’ ” Mr Kant stressed. Hailing the cooperation of BSNL costumers to stay with the company, CGM claimed that BSNL registered growth in the time when the stiff competition was being posed to it by the Jio. adding that number of private service providers were pushed to the brink of bankruptcy.

     

    CGM claimed that as many as 11 4G hotspots were set up in the Shimla town and 20 others in the Rural Shimla with where the company is about to offer the 4G services. BSNL would offer free 4G gift pack in the rural areas meanwhile it would provide this service at the rate of 3G being to rest of subscribers. With the launching of 4 G hot spot services it would also strengthen and link Broadband and pre-paid services this facility, he said that BB and prepaid connections would also use four G internet data. Unlike the other private company BSNL
    hotspot 4G service would be remained available on different mobile sets so that all platform of the customer could be brought under the uniform formula.

     

    He claimed that BSNL would able to launch five G services by the year 2019-20. BSNL is setting up high-speed four G mobile BTS towers at 74 location in the state and proposed to set up 620 mobile BTS by the end of this year. He announced to launch the Next Generation Network services at Vikas Nagar on Wednesday. The BSNL has set up 1000 lines new exchanges at SDA complex which would offer 24 MBPS high-speed BB services to all government and Private commercial subscribers. The NGN service would not only help to increase unlimited call capacity but also enable to offer Multimedia Conference with on 29 and call conferencing to five to six people together.
