DYFI stage protest in Shimla over brutal lathi charge in WB

The State unit of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) today staged a protest outside DC office in Shimla against the police lathi charge at Vankuda in West Bengal unit. The Shimla DYFI secretary Mr. Kapil Sharma alleged that DYFI workers were charged lathi charged on the direction of TMC Government. He said that hundreds of youth were injured in the brutal police action including the National General Secretary Avay Mukherjee which is highly condemnable.

 

Mr. Sharma said that DYFI unit of WB is lodging protest over the failure of TMC government on the issue of employment, prevailing of repentant corruptions. The protest was held to support the struggle of DYFI WB unit to restore democracy and ensure the minority youths. The TMC government was resorting the violence against the political adversaries to gap the voice of dissent. DYFI warned the WB Government to stop the undemocratic action, political victimization, and registering of political cases against the left cadres.

 

National Treasurer of DYFI Mr. Balbir Parashar alleged that in most of the areas in the WB violence against left workers and leader should stop which is the virtual murder of democracy in the state. The left youth front warned to intensified the protest on the national level if TMC rule continues to resort the similar atrocities.
