South West Monsoon confines to many parts of HP

The South-West Monsoon confined to many parts of the State but it was mainly dry today. In Mandi district Gohar recorded 69 mm rainfall, Saluni in Chamba 45 mm, Dharamshala in Kangra 38 mm, Tissa of Chamba 36 mm, Baijnath in Kangra 32 mm and Palampur 27 mm respectively.

 

In Bilaspur Naina Devi recorded 25 mm rainfall, Gaggal in Kangra 23 mm, Paonta sahib in Nahan & Pandoh 21 mm each, Rampur in Shimla 15 mm, Mandi & Nurpur in Kangra 8 mm each, Jogindernagar in Mandi 7 mm, Nadaun in Hamirpur five mm, Arki in Solan and Renuka of Sirmaur 4 mm each.

 

The maximum temperature of Shimla was recorded as 21.5 degrees, Sundernagar 31.8 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 32.2 mm, Kalpa 23.6 degrees, Dharamshala in Kangra 28.8 mm, Una 32 mm, Nahan 25.2 mm, Solan 25.5 mm, Kangra 32.2 mm respectively. The Met office warned of heavy rainfall in isolated parts of the State and rainfall at many parts of foot hill, mid hill and few high places.
