Heavy monsoon rains in various districts of HP

The heavy monsoon rainfall lashed parts of Kangra, Kullu, Chamba and Mandi district moreover few parts of the State got light to moderate rainfall. The Met Office recorded rainfall in Jogindernagar 160mm, Banjar in Kullu 145 mm, Nagrota surian in Kangra 132 mm, Kheri in Chamba 140 mm, Dharamshala in Kangra 125 mm, Baijnath 122 mm, Hamirpur 78 mm, Gaggal Airport-in Kangra 69 mm, Dehra Gopipur & Kandaghat in Solan 56 mm each.

 

Bharwain in Bilaspur 50 mm, Rohru in Shimal 46 mm, Jhandutta in Bilaspur 40 mm, Bhuntar in Kullu & Mandi 38 mm each, Bajaura  in Kullu 32 mm, Berthin in Bilaspur 26 mm, Kasauli in  Solan & Bhoranj in Hamirpur 22 mm each, Seobagh in Kullu & Dharampur in Mandi 17 mm each. Rajgarh in Sirmaur & Amb in Una 15 mm each, Solan & Janjehli in Mandi 14 mm each, Kotkhai in Shimla & Sarkaghat in Mandi 12 mm each, Kumarsain in Shimla, Bijahi in Mandi & Karsog 11 mm each.

 

The rest of the State was mainly dry for last four days as South West Monsoon was scanty with bright sunshine. The maximum temperature of Shimla was recorded at 22 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnuar 19.4 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 25 degrees, Kangra and Solan 26 degrees, Sunderngar in Mandi and Dharamshala 7 degrees and Nahan in Sirmaur 29.5 degrees and Una 30 degrees respectively. The Met Office forecast heavy rainfall in isolated part of state and rain and thundershower in many places in the State during the next 24 hours.
