Keylong experiences traces of snowfall


The district headquarter of Lahaul Spiti, Keylong got traces of snowfall over night and light to moderate spell of snowfall on the high reaches and it was mainly dry and overcast in the State today. The reports arriving said that after having light snowfall on the high reaches like lady of Keylong, Seven Sister’s hill, Goshal hill and Barlacha , 13050ft high Rohtang Pass got light to moderate snowfall however vehicular traffic remained unaffected.


Keylong recorded trace of snowfall in the overnight however it was overcast today. Shimla and its surrounding areas were also cloudy since morning. The minimum temperature suddenly recorded increase last night and remained two to three degree above normal , Keylong of Lahaul Spiti was low at 5.4 degree today that of minus 0.1 degree as of yesterday. Kalpa in Kinnaur 5.8 degrees, Manali 9.6 degrees, Dharamshala 12. 4 degrees, Bhuntar 13.8 degrees respectively.


Solan was recorded low at 15 degrees, Shimla 16.8 degrees, Sundernagar 16.9 degrees. Mandi 17 .2 degrees, Kangra and Palampur 19.5 degrees each, Bilaspur 19.6 degrees, Hamirpur 21 degrees, Una 22 and Nahan 23 degrees respectively. The Met office forecast rain, thunder showers or snowfall in the State during next 24 hours.
