Hailing the hardworking and contribution of foothill district ‘ Una’ of Himachal Pradesh today, Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh said that it is granary of this State pays key role to run the economy of hill people. Mr. Singh was addressing the public gathering at Gagret of Una district today after laying foundation stone of argumentation of Lift Water Supply Scheme, Amboa, Saloh Bedi, Marwadi, Dangoh Khurd at Marwadi to cost Rs.6.34 crore and benefiting estimated population of 8500 of six villages of the area.
Mr. Singh said that this state produces off season vegetables helped the people to raised their income. Chief Minister said that Swan river and channelization of its 73 tributaries had helped to transform socio-economy in the district. He pointed out that State Government government decided to continue fund the scheme as Modi Government is keen to continue channelization Swan launched by the UPA regime.
He said that since NDA came to power the Central share was not being received as per the agreement. He blamed the Member of Parliament of the area for not initiating the matter with NDA government. He said that the state government would continue releasing its share for carrying out the work of Channelisation despite the fact that the Sate BJP leaders and MP Shri Anurag Thakur instigated the NDA to withhold the central share. He also laid foundation stone of, argumentation of Lift water supply scheme Thaplan, Pambra, Oel and Tatehra at Oel to cost Rs4.40 crore to benefit estimated population of 7000 and Science block of Government Senior Secondary School, Ghanari to cost Rs 1.78 crore.
