Himachal Pradesh is facing cold weather again

“The major cause of the sudden change of weather in Himachal Pradesh is due to the yesterdays upper air cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan & adjoining west Rajasthan now lies over Haryana & adjoining areas of Northeast Rajasthan & extends upto 1.5 km amsl which is  now seen as an upper air cyclonic ,” said the weather department of Himachal Pradesh.

 

The spokesperson added that another Western Disturbance as an upper air cyclonic circulation over south Iran & neighborhood now seen as an upper air cyclonic circulation over west parts of Afghanistan & adjoining Iran & extends upto 3.1km amsl. Due to this disturbance the Lowest temperature recorded at Keylong was -05.6°C this morning and the highest temperature recorded 25.6oC was at Una snowfall recorded in different ares of Himachal is Kothi-60 cms, Udaipur-17cms, Keylong & Kalpa-14 cms each, Manali-6cms  and Khadrala-4cms. This made entire state realing under a fresh cold wave.

 

During the past 24 hours rainfall was also recorded from several places. Manali recorded 42mm of rain while Bhuntar & Seobagh 21mm each, Bajura 16mm, Tissa & Pachhad 15mm each, Jubbal 10mm, Banjar 9mm and Dalhousie 8mm rain. Dharamshala is experiencing continuous rainfall since morning where as the Dhauladhar ranges are experiencing heavy snow fall causing steep downfall in day and night temperature in the Kangra valley.
