MCI approves 39 PG seats for Shimla and Tanda Medical colleges

    The Medical Council of India (MCI) has approved to increase Post Graduate seats in IGMC Shimla and Dr. RPGMC Tanda for the academic year 2017-18 pursuant to the revision of teacher-student ratio. A spokesperson of the State Health department said today that permission had been granted to increase total 39 seats in MD and MS courses including 31 in IGMC Shimla and 8 seats in Tanda medical college.

     

     

    In IGMC, Shimla the seats in MD (General Medicine) has been increased from 9 to 13, in MS (General Surgery) from 12 to 15, in MS (Orthopedics) from 5 to 6, in MS (OBG) from 5 to 12, in MS (ENT) from 4 to 5, in MD (Radio-diagnosis) fro, 5 to 14, in MD (Anesthesiology) from 12 to 17 and in MD (Respiratory Medicine) from 2 to 3.

     

    For Dr. RPGMC Tanda the seats for MD (Pediatrics) have been increased from 5 to 6, in MS (Orthopedics) from 3 to 6 and in MD (Anesthesiology) from 9 to 13.
