State Administrative Tribunal decides 8882 cases

The Himachal Pradesh Administrative Tribunal has settled 8882 cases which comprises 7853 fresh cases and 1029 cases received from Himachal Praesh High Court since February 2015. A Spokesman of the Administrative Tribunal said in a press release issued on Wednesday that as many as 21004 cases were filed during last two years, which included 14606 fresh cases and 6398 were transferred from H. P. High Court.

 

He said 167 Contempt Petitions, 12 Review Petitions, nine Ex. Petitions and 4160 miscellaneous applications were also disposed off. He said that Tribunal had decided to take up the oldest matters pre 2009 on priority basis by the Division Benches on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to clear the pendency.
