The Met office said that the minimum temperature of Shimla was 10.5 degrees today than 6.9 degrees recorded yesterday as it went up by 3.6 degrees in the last 24 hours and stayed 7 degree above normal. The maximum temperature was also recorded 7 degrees above normal in the town. However rest of the State was still reeling under cold waves and recorded couple of degrees rise in the Mercury.
Keylong in Lahaul Spiti district was recorded coldest in the State with -3 degrees Celsius followed by Kalpa in Kinnaur and Bhuntar in Kullu at 1.4 degrees each. Sunderngar in Mandi was low at 1.8 degrees, tourist resort Manali 2.2 degrees, Solan 3.5 degrees, Mandi 4 degrees, Una 5 degrees, Kangra 5.6 degrees, Palampur 6.4 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 8 degrees and Dharamshala in Kangra at 8.8 degrees respectively.
The Met office forecast that the weak western disturbances were becoming active in the State however, it would not have major effect on the present weather conditions and it would continue to be mainly dry overall.
