Himachal Pradesh Transport Minister G.S.Bali who was not allowed to enter the dais along with AICC Vice President Mr. Rahul Gandhi in the ‘Maha Rally’ at Police ground Dharamshala on Dec 24 to celebrate the 4 years of Congress rule in power, was today supported by the opposition BJP as they empathized with Minister.
In a statement issued by party President Mr. Satpal Singh Sati and BJP state spokesperson Mr. Rajiv Bindal, it said that though it is party internal affairs but mishappening in the ‘Maha rally’ exposed the so called unity in the Virbhadra Government moreover, it indicates a fierce infighting within the State Government.
Referring Dec 24 fiasco for not allowing HP state Transport Minister G.S.Bali on the dais by SPG commando, Mr. Sati said that a cabinet rank minister should not be treated like this who was shown door instead having place in front row among other council of ministers. Taking a dig on the incident BJP leaders said that indifference to a cabinet colleague in a Democratic outfit itself explains the State of affairs. Who should sit on the dais or not, it is sheerly a congress internal matter Mr. Sati observed adding that indecent behavior with a Cabinet rank minister explains State of arrogance of State party leadership.
Blaming the Chief Minister for the alleged incident, Mr. Sati said that it was not first instance moreover, senior Congress leader Mr. Anand Sharma had also faced similar humiliation in the past. Commenting upon this tactics terming it mean, the BJP leaders said that selfishness and autocratic State Congress leader today considers the democratic norms below their persona. The BJP leaders urged Congress workers to understand what happened with Mr. Bali, if leader of Senior Stature met like this what could happen with them.
Showing empathy with the reservation expressed by Mr. Bali after the rally, BJP leader said that it could understand the agony or pain of Mr. Bali on behest of senior leaders. After the statement, party state unit assured him to sort out the issue however the rift in the State Congress units however exposed the internal faction in the State unit and Government though it did not have implication on the health of State Government which is to stay in the power for one more year.
