People of the State have made their mind to vote again for Congress Party in next elections: Sudhir Sharma


    The HP Urban Development, Housing and Town and Country Planning Minister Sh. Sudhir Sharma has termed the Congress rally organized at Dharamshala on Saturday as historic which clearly gave the message that the people of the entire State had deep faith in this Government and they would again give massive mandate in favor of the Congress Party in the next Assembly elections.


    Talking to Himvani at Dharamshala on Tuesday, Sudhir Sharma said , “The present Congress Government has been able to deliver the goods as per the aspirations of the people of the State and all sections of the society have been benefited immensely with its policies and programmes.” The Minister said that it was the faith of people of the State in the Vice President of Congress Party Sh. Rahul Gandhi and charismatic leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Virbhadra Singh that thousands of people turned out for Dharamshala rally which proved to be a massive rally organised ever in the State.



    The success of the rally clearly indicates that people of the State have made their mind to vote again for Congress Party in next elections and it would again form the Government with heavy mandate. He said, “Due to the visionary leadership of  Virbhadra Singh, Himachal Pradesh has marched ahead on the path of progress and prosperity in every sector and today it has emerged as a role model for the other states of the country.”


    Sudhir Sharma said it was a matter of pride for the State that it has been declared as the second open defecation State of the country. Recently, the State has been given “State of the States” award for education and inclusive growth in the category of big states. Moreover, the State has been adjudged as number one in education, health, social economic equality, employment generation, infrastructural development, roads, power and irrigation etc. sectors for inclusive development in the country. The Minister said that the State Government is making all out efforts to make Himachal Pradesh as a model of urban development in the category of hilly states.


    Talking about his own constituency Dharamshala Sudhir Sharma said, “To ensure systematic development of Dharamshala city, it has been given the status of Municipal Corporation. It is due to the consistent efforts of the State Government that Dharamshala has also been selected for developing it as Smart City.  He said that added attention is being given for planned and systematic development of all the urban local bodies of the State.”
