BJP stall wart and former Chief Minister Mr. Shanta Kumar today made it clear that he is not at all in the race of Chief Minister for the next Assembly election moreover, he also decided to not contest the Lok Sabha Election in the future. Mr. Shanta Kumar who was interacting with media person at Chamba said that he is not keen to be in the race of Chief Minister for the third time moreover he was also forced to contest the last Lok Sabha Election by the party. He said that he would not contest the Lok Sabha election in the future.
Hailing the party decisions of keep veteran party leader beyond certain age limit out of Government, Mr. Shanta said that he neither would fight next Assembly election nor Lok Sabha and he is not at all in the race of Chief Minister-ship. Coming down heavily on the State Government to curb the repent corruption in the State, Mr. Shanta Kumar said that corruption is prevalent everywhere in Himachal Pradesh alleging that Mr. Singh Government failed to root out the rot of corruption from this hill state.
Mr. Shanta Kumar also indicated that early election of Assembly could not be ruled out and BJP is making preparation as it expect early poll in the State. Mr. Shanta Kumar said that his proposal to set up Cement Plant at Chamba was to provide employments to youth however despite his consistent efforts the project did not come out so far.
