Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh today dedicated and laid foundation stones of Developmental projects worth Rs 17 crore in Kangra district, ahead of the Vidhan Sabha Winter Session to be held at Dharamshala. Addressing a public meeting at Majhin Chief Minister said that the development of backward and far flung areas was the top most priority of the Government.
The connectivity and expansion of the road network, educational institutions and creation of health facilities was focus of his Government so that they were at par in matter of facilities with any other urban areas. He said that two new colleges had been opened in Changar area of Jawalamukhi constituency where enrollment of girls reflected that these institutions had benefited girls as they were getting higher educational facilities near their homes.
He expressed happiness that the number of students had increased in Government College Khudian and said that science classes would be started in the college with the increase in number of students. The Chief Minister said that the local MLA of the area Shri Sanjay Rattan was like a committed warrior and was ensuring welfare of the area. He said that all genuine demands of the MLA would be fulfilled to ensure development of the area.
He directed the concerned authorities to complete construction of work of college building with three shifts so that it could be completed within one-third time. He sanctioned construction of three kilometer road from Dabkad Chowki. He also announced Rs 15000 for the students presenting cultural programme on the occasion. He also released the school magazine on the occasion
