Cold waves increase in Himachal

The minimum temperature started plunging in the State despite Shimla town was warmer than other parts in the plains and mid hills. The Merucry plunged to minus two degrees.

 

The minimum temperature of Kalpa was recorded as 3.2  degrees, Bhuntar 1.9 degrees, Sundernagar 2 degrees, Solan 4.3 degrees, Chamba 2.9 degrees, Manali 3.2 degrees, Mandi 4.4 degrees, Bilaspur 5 degrees, Kangra, Hamirpur and Palampur 6 degrees each, Una 7 degrees, Shimla and Dharamshala 10 degrees each and Nahan 10.5 degrees respectively.

 

Met Office said that a fresh Western Disturbance as a trough in mid tropospheric westerlies runs roughly along Longitude  50 Earth and Latitude 30 degrees North. The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in Himachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours.
