“Let’s all get together to champion the cause of a TB-Free India”– Anurag Thakur

In a quest to fight Tuberculosis and make India TB-Free, Mr. Anurag Thakur attended the Parliamentarians round-table on TB organized by Global Coalition Against Tuberculosis (GCAT). Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare also attended the event as the Chief Guest.

 

Commenting at the event Mr. Thakur said, “Tuberculosis is a menace in our society and has significantly affected the nation. It is imperative that everyone comes forward and plays their bit in ensuring that we curb TB and eventually make India TB-Free. The foremost task at our hand is that we must educate and create awareness about prevention, timely detection and treatment. I would like to make an earnest appeal to all the relevant stakeholders in the society to join forces and work together and strive towards the dream of a TB free India!”

 

Mr. Anurag Thakur is not only President of BCCI, BJP Yuva Morcha and HPCA but member of parliament from Hamirpur Lok Sabha and  member of the Advisory Board of Global Coalition Against TB.
