Defamation case against BJP leaders by HP CM: Court to hear re-arguments on summoning Ex-CM

Counsel for Mr. Dhumal, Mr. Anshul Bansal told that District and Session Judge Shimla, Mr. Verinder Singh today ordered to hear the re-arguments on the revision petition filed by Opposition leader and Ex-Chief Minister Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal challenging the CJM court order to summon him in defamation case filed against Mr. Dhumal and his BCCI president Mr. Anurag Thakur and younger son Mr. Arun Dhumal by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh.

 

The CJM Court earlier allowed to delete Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitely from the list of defendant as Mr. Singh urged the court to delete Mr. Jaitely from the lists when he took over as Finance Minister in Mr. Modi government in 2014. However When CJM Court of Shimla directed Mr. Dhumal and his both sons to appear in the libel case he moved filed revision petition in the court of district and Session Judge Shimla challenge the lower court order stating that issuing the summon to trio is against the spirit of law when main party cum principle accused in the mater Mr. Jaitely had allowed by the Court to delete from the Court.

 

In last hearing the district and session judge had ordered to stay the summon against the three BJP leaders after hearing the arguments posting matter for today. Today the Court posted the matter for  Dec 9, 2016 to hear re-argument in the case. Mr. Singh had sued the four BJP leaders including Mr. Jaitely soon after 2012 Assembly election stating that they accused him falsely charging him for indulging in corruption as the charges were leveled by Mr. Jaitely and others holding press conference at Shimla.
