AICC President Ms. Sonia Gandhi today arrived in Shimla on four days personal visit to this capital town as she drove to Wildflower Hotel near Chharabra in the outskirt of Shimla town police sources said. Ms. Gandhi accompanied along Ms. Vadra arrived by air upto Chandigarh from where she came to Shimla town by road and straight away rushed to Willdflower hall government property run by Obery Clarks hospitality chain in pine groves of Chharabra at 1100 hours today.
The Spokesman of Congress state unit Mr. Naresh Chauhan said that Ms. Gandhi along with her daughter have not schedule to attend any party or public gathering during there stay in Shimla and no party leaders are likely to be given appointments to visit Ms. Gandhi during her short stay here in the town.
Ms. Gandhi will reportedly visit the construction site of upcoming Cottage of Ms. Vadra near Chharabra during their stay here. The two are likely to return to New Delhi on Nov 27 by road to Chandigarh and by air to Delhi from Chandigarh. Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s daughter Priyanka Vadra’s cottage is being constructed near the Retreat, the president’s summer holiday resort, just 15 km uphill from here.
