Governor inaugurates T-20 Cricket Match in Solan district

    Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat today unveiled T-20 cricket match played between Chief Minister-XI and Board Chairmen-XI at Pinegrove School, Dharampur in Solan district. The match was organized by the Himachal Pradesh Sports, Culture and Environment Association aimed at promoting peace and unity.

     

    Speaking on the occasion, the Governor appreciated the efforts of the Association for organizing such events which not only help in maintaining physical fitness but also go a long way in promoting the sports and building the bonds of brotherhood. Acharya Devvrat said good routine, healthy diet and physical exercise not only help in living a healthy life but also play an important role in bringing positive attitude in ones personality. He added that positivity dwells in healthy mind whereas negativity invites various diseases.

     

    He appreciated the efforts of the association for organizing sports events to the persons sitting on a responsible position which would help in releasing the stress they were facing in their day to-day life. He hoped that the association would also organize such events throughout the State which would go a long way in promoting sports activities in HP. He also advised people to change the their lifestyle and follow high traditions of life as mentioned in the Indian culture. He also urged to participate in social awareness programs like ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’, equality, cleanliness etc. for the betterment of the society.
