Mercury touches freezing point, Keylong recorded 0.6 degree Celsius

With the onset of November month, the high reaches of Himachal Pradesh started witnessing freezing colds in the wee hours and especially night as the Mercury touched 0.6 degree last night.

 

The Met office releasing weather bulletin today said that temperature at Keylong was recorded minimum at 0.6 degrees declining by 0.8 degree in the last 24 hours. Kalpa in Kinnuar was cold at 3 degrees, Manali 4 degrees, Solan 7 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi and Bhunter in Kullu 6.8 degrees each and Chamba 8 degrees. Shimla, Kangra and Bilaspur was low at 10 degrees each, Hamirpur 11 degrees, Una  12 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 14 degrees and Mandi 15 degrees respectively.

 

The Met office forecast emergence of feeble western disturbances system in the State however there is no forecast of rain and weather is likely to be mainly dry in the next 24 hours.
