Himachal has emerged as a model of development in the country: CM

    The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh dedicated developmental projects worth Rs. 23 crore to the people of Renukaji assembly constituency during his two days tour to the Renukaji area. These include foundation stones worth Rs. 8.77 crore and inaugurations worth Rs. 13.44 crore.

     

    Addressing a public meeting at Mahipur in district Sirmour today, Chief Minister announced upgradation of Government Middle Schools Mahipur and Anji Banona to Government High School and opening of new Primary School at Marath in Gram Panchayat Mahipur. He also announced upgradation of Veterinary Dispensary Parara to Veterinary Hospital and opening of Veterinary dispensary at Khaina Bagh. He also announced opening of Ayurvedic Dispensary at Kainthghat and an Irrigations scheme for Deed-Bagar village. He said that a sum of Rs. 16 crore has been sanctioned for upgradation of Mahipur-Jamta road.

     

    He said that development was an ongoing process and unprecedented development has taken place in the State during the tenures of Congress Governments. He said that there was a negligible road length when the State came into existence but at present there was a network of 35000 kms road length in the State.

     

    The road connectivity has been provided to remotest corners of the State, he added. He said that 15500 schools were imparting education to children across the State and all villages have been electrified. He said that State has good development indicators and had been appreciated at National level and has emerged as a model of development in the country. He said that he was committed to the development of the entire State and during the long span of his career, interest of the State remained his priority. He said that he has dedicatedly served people and the State and would do so in future as well.

     

    Shri Virbhadra Singh said that the elected representatives should uphold the spirit of democracy and added that institutions run by strengthening the spirit of democracy for the betterment of State and Nation. He congratulated PRI representatives for serving the people at grass root level and said that elected representatives were the voice of the people. He said that “We all should work for strengthening the spirit of democracy”. He said that Himachal is a peaceful State and therefore has progressed so well. He said that his Government has always protected the interests of all sections of the society without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion or region.
