Light to moderate rainfall continues in HP

Light to moderate rainfall lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours partly disrupting the normal life as landslides and heavy boulders blocked the roads. Reports arriving from Lahaul Spiti said that sudden increase in the water level in the rivulets disrupting traffic on the Gramphu-Samdho bridge in between Keylong to Kaza and Manali to Kaza.

 

A heavy boulder blocked the traffic on Hindustan –Tibet at Chura in Kinnaur district yesterday however the road remained closed for vehicular traffic for almost 15 hours. Most of the rivers in the State was flowing near danger mark in the State. Bajura in Kullu got 18 mm rainfall, Seobagh 17 mm, Kangra 13 mm, Dalhousie 11 mm, Nadaun 9 mm, Shimla & Una7 mm each, Dehra Gopipur, Dharamshala & Jogindernagar  4 mm each.

 

The Met office forecast rain and thundershowers during the next 24 hours.
