HP Governor & CM greet people on Janmashtami

The Himachal Pradesh Governor Mr. Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh have greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Janamashtami.

Governor Acharya Devvrat said that Janamashtami was a sacred occasion for Hindus which is celebrated with great fervour throughout the country. He said that the teachings and philosophy of Lord Krishna were more relevant in the present context and we all should follow them to lead a successful life.

Extending the greetings and good wishes to the people of the State on this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh said that the philosophy of Lord Krishna enshrined in Bhagwad Geeta had attracted the attention of entire world which was the beautiful revelation of life wisdom and this philosophy had been guiding the humanity. He said that the Geeta was virtually the quintessence of Hindu scriptures and religious philosophy.
