222 people helped by Red Cross in a year: ADC Kangra

“The Red Cross society of Kangra at Dharamshala has helped 222 people with a sum of Rs. 7,90,964 in a year between July 2015 and July 2016”, said ADC Kangra Sh. Rakesh Sharma at Dharamshala after presiding over the annual meeting of the society on Tuesday. He said that the money was given to the poor to meet the medical expenses and to the needy students for their studies.

Sh. Rakesh Sharma said that the society is running a free physiotherapy centre, which treated 1342 people in the year. He further informed that the society opened an open air Gymnasium in Dharamshala this year.

  1. I have been requesting Red Cross ( as per given e mail addresses in their website ), how to become a member of the Red Cross………….No one has bothered to respond so far………………
