Two days after the merger of BJP-HLP at Dhalpur ground in Kullu district a fierce verbal dual started between the break -away Himahcal Lokhit party leader Mr. Mahindernath Sofat and merged HLP leader Mr. Maheshwer Singh as the former took dig on the 125 points charge-sheet prepared by HLP on its overture from the BJP, accusing Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal former rule for repentant corruption in 2012.
Mr. Mahindernath Sofat, former transport minister in Shanta Kumar regime, currently leader of break-away HLP today made a scathing assault in his facebook account terming the merger against the principles of HLP formation. Mr. Sofat alleged that it is ridiculous that Mr. Maheshwer Singh shook hand with the former Chief Minister Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal on August 14, so called BJP Party sammelan at Dhalpur ground but the former did not bother to explain the real reason of split and merger of the two parties.
Mr. Sofat took dig in his facebook account on Monday night that Mr. Maheshwer Singh had accused Mr. Dhumal for giving protection to those who are involved in the corruption while forming the new political outfits in 2012. “Party erstwhile president Mr. Nitin Gadkari was given 125 point charge-sheet against Dhumal charging the latter for repent corruption and giving protection for tainted people.” Mr. Sofat alleged.
“HLP was formed with a motive to stop BJP from returning to power in 2012 however now Mr. Maheshwer Singh announced on August 14 to bring back BJP to power.” The HLP leader said asking Mr. Singh to explain why he had floated HLP and did he not want BJP to come in the power in 2012. What led Mr. Singh to join hand with Dhumal “did BJP national leaders take any action on his 125 points charge-sheet he asserted terming ‘Ghar vapsi’ or U-turn just political posturing for personal interest.
“If Mr. Maheshwer Singh now wants BJP to return in power as he announced at Dhalpur ground, what stopped him to not do so in 2012 and why now he wants to stop Congress from return from the power.” Mr. Sofat asked.
Mr. Sofat said that after four years of HLP, BJP national high command did not take any action on the 125 points charge-sheet. It is worthwhile to mention here that before forming HLP number of rebel of BJP formed a Corruption Eradication Front (Bhrashtachar Mukati Morcha) charging 125 corruption charges on Mr. Dhumal Government.
