Pratibha Singh skips ED interrogation today

The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh’s wife and former Member of Parliament Ms. Pratibha Singh skipped the Enforcement Directorate Interrogation schedule to be held on Thursday as Ms. Singh did not appeared before the ED at Delhi today, family sources of the royal family said.

Ms. Singh has sought condone from personal presence before the ED due to unavoidable reason however it was reportedly rejected by the Agency. The family sources said that Ms. Singh was at her family residence at Holilodge pleaded the ED that she could not appear before it on its notice issued to her.

The ED has issued notices to some more people including OSD of Mr. Singh to appear for interrogation for the next week. ED had earlier summoned Ms. Singh for interrogation in Rs. 6 crore money laundering case lodged against Mr. Singh while he was the union minister in the UPA government.

The ED also arrested LIC agent and Orchard manager of Mr. Singh, Mr. Anand Chauhan on July 9 who is in judicial custody till August 2, 2016. ED had attached the property of Mr. Singh’s kins at Greater Kaileash at New Delhi in the case.
