Monsoon continues to be lean in Himachal Pradesh


The South West monsoon continues to be on lean in the State as some isolated places were lashed with light to moderate rainfall. Baldwara in Mandi got 41 mm rainfall, Joginder nagar 40 mm, Pandoh 22 mm, Gaggal 17 mm, Mandi 14 mm, Sunder nagar & Baijnath 8 mm each, Dharamshala 6 mm and Sarkaghat 5 mm respectively.

Kalpa recorded minimum temperature of 12.6 degrees, Keylong 13 degrees, Shimla 16.9 degrees, Dharamshala 16.8 degrees, Manali 15 degrees, Mandi 19.4 degrees, Palampur 20 degrees, Solan and Kangra 21 degrees each, Nahan 22.4 degrees, Chamba 22.6 degrees, Sundernagar 23 degrees, Hamirpur 24.4 degrees, Una 25.5 degrees and Bilaspur 26.8 degrees respectively.

The Met Office forecast rain and snowfall at isolated places in the State during the next 24 hours.
