Solan: A suspected terrorist of banned terrorists outfit Babber Khalsa International was arrested at Goyala here on Friday.
Superintendent of police posted at Baddi, Chandershaiker, told HimVani that Mahinder Singh, son of Surinder Singh of Navashair of Punjab, was arrested when he was boarding a local bus at Heripur near Goyala. He said that a team of Punjab Police along with state police was searching him for last three days as there were inputs about his being in the state. The police officer added that the arrested terrorist has been handed over to the team of Punjab Police.
The suspect has been arrested in connection with hand grenades that were found from a village near Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium in Punjab’s Mohali town March 23. The suspect was hiding in various gurdwaras (Sikh shrines) in Solan district for the past few days. He belonged to Churpur village in Nawanshahr district in Punjab, the SP added.
