The Himachal Pradesh Congress Government in particular and Transport Minister Mr. G.S. Bali in general came on the target of about 3.50 lakh State Government employees as the state Non Gazetted Officers threatened to resort the action of dismissal of 30 HRTC joint action committee officer bears would revoke with fortnight.
Issuing the ultimatum to the Mr. Virbhadra Singh Government, the state NGO leader Mr. S.S.Jogta said that the way agitating 30 HRTC JAC members were dismissed and slapped with the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) it is rarest among rare incidents in the history of this hill state.
The employees could lodge protest democratically if the management did not hear their demand but the Government taking such a stringent action on the employees was uncalled for and they should be revoked. He said that the State employees may go on state wide protest in support of victimized employees if their services were not revoked with in fifteen days.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the Transport Minister Mr. G.S.Bali announced to dismiss the services of 30 JAC leaders including its leader Mr. Shanker Singh Thakur following 15,000 HRTC employees went on state wide complete strike on Jun 14, 2016 despite it was declared illegal by the state high court.
On Jun 15, 2016 Himachal Pradesh High court also intervened again in the matter forcing the state government to resort dismissal of 30 JAC members. The high court taking more stringent action also issued notices to the JAC members that why contempt proceeding could not be initiated against them for violating court order.
State Government Teachers Association President Mr. Verinder Chauhan said in press conference today that state government should revoke the dismissal of 30 HRTC jac members as it is against the rights of Democratic protest against the establishment. He said that employees in the state was against the state government move for not implementation of grade pay of 4 -9-15(yrs) in the right spirit.
