Shimla: Close circuit television camera recording unrevealed the mystery behind an eight-month-old bank burglary that occurred at a Punjab National Bank branch at Ghorachoki, on the outskirts of Shimla, police officer said today.
Police nabbed Hem Raj alias Raju after receiving forensic report from CFSL Chandigarh on the burglary that took place on the night of August 27, 2009. The Accused was identified by the police after CCTV recording assisted sort out the mystery over the case. The camera installed above the bank cash almira captured video of the accused when he had made a futile attempt to break it open. The burglar had managed to steal electronic devices including computers from the bank.
The burglar was also found involved in four others theft cases. After matching his photograph in police records, he was nabbed by the police from his home. SP Shimla RM Sharma told media person that police were investigating the case further after nabbing the culprit.
