Forest fire takes toll of cowshed and houses in tourist resort Dalhousie

Himachal Pradesh witnessing the sweltering and parching heat waves in smearing the forest fire in some of forest of Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours. SDM Dalhousie Mr. Gaurav Chaudhary said that fire broke out at Kathlag forest of tourist resort Dalhousie taking heavy toll of forest, wildlife, a cowshed and few houses.

An affected belongs to Chen Lal said that forest fire spread in the entire forest was brought down by the fire fighters along with locals however it gutted down his cow shed drastically and also burnt down some government residences on the line of fire.

A fire also broke out near Shimla town in the pine leaves guttering down the dry leaves and flora and funa. During this summer alone about 6000 hectare forest areas have been gutted down by the devastating forest fire however the forest and local people were coming forward to douse the inferno.
