108 ambulance protesting workers union today decided to call off the strike till 15 days after getting assurance from Chief Minister to consider their demands sympathetically.
President of the 108 Ambulance protesting worker Union Mr. Puran Chand said that they would call off their strike for 15 days as Chief minister Mr. Vribhadra Singh assured them to consider their main demands.
Earlier 108 ambulance protesting worker union delegation met with Mr. Singh who decided to give passionate hearing their demands and consider two demands within 15 days.
“Mr. Singh assured to probe the issue of disbursing of salary much below from the actual pay of driver and to consider the revoking the services of 170 fired out drivers of 108.”
108 workers were protesting against the wages anomalies and hire and fire policy of 108 ambulance contract firm GVK-EMRI demanding not to extend the service tenders to the firm which was expired recently.
