Summer showers in many parts of Himachal

Summer showers lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh as the feeble western disturbances were active in the State keeping down the mercury below normal and relief to the people from the heat waves.

Hill station Kasauli in Solan and Jogindernagar of Mandi recorded 21 mm rain each, Pandoh 17 mm, Bijahi 14 mm, Jubbal in Shimla and Dharampur 6 mm each, Solan 5 mm, Gohar and Jhajheli in Mandi 3 mm each.

The maximum temperature of Shimla was 23.4 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 33.1 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 31.2 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnaur 21.8 degrees, Dharamshala in Kangra 27.8 degrees, Una 37.2 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 32.6 degrees and Solan 28 degrees respectivley.

Met office forecast rain or thundershowers in isolated places of the State during the next 24 hours.
